• Challenge performance data — daily scores, time spent, submissions
• Interview recordings (with your consent)
• Resume and profile information you choose to add
• Login activity and device information

From Companies

• Company name, registration details, address
• Contact person name and work email
• Hiring requirements and job descriptions
• Communication history with candidates
• Billing information for placement commissions

Automatically Collected

• IP address and approximate location
• Browser type and device type
• Pages visited and time spent on platform
• Referral source (how you found us)

2. How We Use Your Information

3. Data Sharing

We share your data only in the following circumstances:

• With Companies (for students): Your verified profile — name, scores, college, and interview feedback — is visible to registered hiring companies on the platform. You can control visibility settings in your profile.
• Service Providers: We use Supabase for database hosting and Vercel for platform hosting. Both are bound by data processing agreements and do not use your data for their own purposes.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or government authority in India.
• We never sell your data to third parties, advertisers, or data brokers.

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days except where required by law. Performance and transaction records may be retained for up to 3 years for legal and financial compliance purposes.

5. Your Rights

Under applicable Indian data protection laws, you have the right to:

• Access — Request a copy of all data we hold about you
• Correction — Ask us to correct inaccurate information
• Deletion — Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Portability — Receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Opt-out — Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies only — for session management and security. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some platform features may not work correctly.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), secure database access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no system is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and keep your login credentials private.

8. Children's Privacy

SkillHire is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has registered, please contact us immediately at hello@skilhire.in.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
