No. Your college name is visible on your profile but it does not affect your score or your ranking. A student from an unknown tier-3 college with a high challenge score will rank above a student from a tier-1 college with a low score. Skill is the only filter.
Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Electrical, and related technical branches. We are focused on tech roles. Other branches may be added in future batches.
Your verified profile stays live permanently. New companies join the platform regularly. You can also update your profile as your skills grow. Getting verified is a long-term asset — not a one-time opportunity.
Yes. Final year students are specifically our primary target. If you're graduating in 2025 or 2026, you are exactly who we built this for.
Approximately 1–2 hours per day. Tasks are designed to be completable alongside college studies or part-time work. Consistency matters more than time spent in a single session.
Python, Java, C++, C, and JavaScript are supported. You can solve all coding challenges in the language you are most comfortable with.
Missing a day affects your consistency score but does not automatically disqualify you. We track patterns. One or two missed days due to genuine reasons are treated differently from a pattern of skipping. We encourage you to complete every day.
You need a combined score of 65 or above across all four evaluation pillars — coding, aptitude, consistency, and interview. The breakdown is: Coding 35%, Aptitude 25%, Consistency 20%, Interview 20%.
Yes. You can retry after a 30-day gap. You will also receive a detailed feedback report explaining exactly where you fell short, so you can target your preparation before the next attempt.

No. Browsing verified candidate profiles is completely free. You only pay a commission when you successfully hire someone — 8-10% of their first-year CTC.
We focus on entry-level and junior tech roles — software developer, backend engineer, frontend engineer, full-stack developer, data analyst, and similar positions. Senior roles and non-tech positions are not our focus currently.
No. We specifically target small and growing startups. Whether you need 1 engineer or 20, SkillHire works for you. In fact, small companies benefit most because they often lack the HR resources to run lengthy hiring processes themselves.
Our commission is 8-10% of the candidate's first-year CTC, paid by the hiring company after a successful hire. For example, if you hire someone at ₹4 LPA, our commission would be ₹32,000–40,000.
Payment is due after the candidate has joined and completed their first 30 days of employment. We bill after placement is confirmed — not before.
If a hire leaves within the first 30 days for reasons within our control, we offer a replacement candidate at no additional commission cost. Terms are specified in the partnership agreement.
